4-Day Intensive Makers Camp — Wrapped!

Updated: Apr 22

Over the past four days, young makers dived into hands-on building, creative thinking, and joyful work.

We set the theme: Wooden game creation — and here’s how it went:

Day 1: We kicked things off with brainstorming and sketching ideas, laying the foundation for each maker's unique game concept. We then started the real work, and learned how to carefully use each tool we worked with.

Day 2: The projects began to come to life as we measured, cut, and assembled using manual and power tools and techniques. We used both subtractive and additive techniques like carving bowling pins out of wood or basic wood joinery like butt-joints to build a frame.

Day 3: Details took shape — sanding, painting, testing — bringing each design closer to the finish line.

Day 4: We focused on the final touches of our projects, then spent the rest of the day creating freely with the kids’ imaginations. They became real inventors, using wood scraps to bring their ideas to life. It was such a pleasure to guide them through their visions.

We wrapped up by presenting and sharing our creations with one another, reflecting on the process and all the new things we tried for the first time — and there were so many! :)

Seeing their proud smiles while presenting their outcomes was priceless!

Even for us, it was truly astonishing to see how this special space we’ve created is becoming such an exciting and rewarding experience. This age group is an absolute joy to work with, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity.

It was a blast guiding these young inventors through their creative journeys.

Our next camp is planned for July- all the details are here:
