Young Makers

Has your child got an inventor’s spark? After school classes where ideas come to life

Here kids experience the true life of a creator.

Our studio is an inspiring workspace where we respect the unique creativity of every child. We balance instructed projects with personal creation time, encouraging kids to explore their own ideas while developing proper work habits and tool mastery.

We teach the foundations of Design Thinking- the real world process of "Object Making": From  an idea to a finished product. Along the way, we highlight a truth every maker knows: "failure" is just a necessary step in the creative process.

Our students experiment with a wide variety of methods and tools to expand their skill sets, including:

  • Woodworking

  • Laser cutting

  • Hand sewing

  • Electronics and more.

We teach them how to plan, expose them to innovative ideas, and give them the freedom to use real tools. From there on, the sky is the limit!

New for this Year: Trimester-Based Enrollment

To allow for deeper project exploration and skill-building, Young Makers is now a term-based course.

Students enroll for a full trimester, ensuring a consistent group environment where they can tackle more advanced builds from start to finish.

Please note: To maintain the flow of the design process, we do not offer mid-term entry or individual trial classes. Space is limited!

I'm Ela, a visual artist, craft maker and a tutor.

Before moving to Sant Cugat, I was teaching in an educational center that follows the STEAM methodology* : A project-based learning approach that actively engages students in solving real-world problems through creative thinking and processes.

Students are encouraged to explore connections between different subject areas, by expanding their knowledge and skills set. The main goal is to develop their passion, curiosity, independency and their sense of competence.

Our Makers Camps

During holidays and school breaks, we offer intensive creative camps for our young makers. These sessions are packed with hands-on projects, teamwork, and plenty of opportunities to explore new materials and techniques. Each camp is designed to encourage imagination, problem-solving, and the joy of making- all within the inspiring atmosphere of our Wood Plane studio.
